Pole Pre-Intermediate 2020

This is a class that helps students transition from beginner to intermediate level. The class focuses on building on Beginner course foundations, refining technique and building strength on both sides. You will also be learning new moves involving new grips eg elbows/knees as well as practicing freestyling to improve pole flow.

In this class, instructors tailor the lesson plan to suit each individual student, so that everyone is pushed to achieve. Some of the moves and concepts covered are:

• Conditioning moves eg cradle rock backs/leg dips, seated pull ups, pencil grip and side hold hangs
• New perches & climbs eg side, knee, straight leg
• Lifting into moves, controlling descent from a move using core
• Inverting
• Upright moves – knee holds eg spinning crouch working towards harder moves like genie & cupid
• More spins, focus on hand placements/body position and progressing toward one handed spins
• Wrist seat, one handed layback variations
• Dismounts from pole – crawl, spiral
• Depending on invert level, looking at lowering into inside and outside leg hang
• Beginning to link basic moves together

This is an intermediate level class, you must have completed a beginner level course to attend this class. If in doubt, please consult with an instructor about the suitability of this class for you.
