Learn steps from Africa & Jamaica in our Dancehall class. Fun and groovy, this class is more about how you feel doing it rather than how its done.

Dancehall is a genre of Jamaican pop-culture that sprung up in the 1970s & has developed over time. By the 2000s the music culture became dominated by dance culture where the dance steps, according to some, became just as important as the music. Dancers became artists themselves, blending African styles with Hip Hop grooves & putting their own spin on steps & bringing them to clubs.

Come down & experience a class that gets you doing some of dancehall’s most iconic moves whilst developing your knowledge the genre and the meaning behind it’s steps. Dancehall touches on female steps, badman styles, and dancehall foundations to banging rhythms. No fear! This is beginner friendly & we promise it’s fun!

Please note, the cheaper prepaid price expires at 6.00am on the day of the course, so book in before then to save!
