Ballroom Beginners Friday (Jan-Mar 2021)

Our Ballroom courses run on Tuesday evenings 6.30pm for standard styles, 7.30pm solo styles and 8.30pm Latin styles and Friday evenings 7.30pm all styles.

This beginner course aims to introduce you to the wonderful world of Ballroom. Learn to sail and glide across the floor with grace and poise as well as how to use body isolations to add  flavour to your dancing.  We will learn the basics of lead and follow in a closed position, which will utilize core and hip stability, as well as the basics of forward heel leads and backwards toe leads.  By the end of the course we hope you will garner the basics of poise and motion and gain a better appreciation of what you see in Dancing with the Stars!

Each class consists of a warm up and instruction on techniques and steps and turn patterns from Latin Ballroom styles. No partner and no experience required!

You can join in week 1 or 2 of this course as a casual attendee, but you must book and prepay online for any class/course you wish to attend. Book to join this course by the deadline for bookings which is 4.30pm on the first day of the course.
